Tier Three (level 8)
Feng Ji- (40 gold for 20 troops) These men wear brigandine armor, and wield a Feng Ji. This is essentially a spear with a blade on one side and a spike on the other. The Chinese equivalent to a halberd.
Elite Swordsmen- (50 gold for 20 troops) These are the cream of the crop. They can fight any unit with ease and are rather fast, and are the best-equipped infantry. Use them to climb the walls during a siege and open the gates. They are equipped with a long sword, and round shields. They wear lamellar armor.
Long Bowmen- (40 gold for 30 troops) These men wield longbows and fire arrows, which have to be half the size of the bow. These men take a long time to train and are very effective on the battlefield. They can fire quickly and easily, and the arrows are designed for piercing, rather than making a big wound. They wear chain mail armor, and carry a short sword.
Heavy Cavalry- (60 gold for 30 troops) This is your shock unit. They can charge into basically any unit and come out unscathed. Their only weakness is against spears, this is the unit to have in the vanguard and to cause havoc in the enemy ranks. They wield heavy lances, and wear lamellar armor. Their horses are armored with scale armor to protect them from strikes. This is a slow cavalry unit, but nonetheless it can still move, and with that power behind them, they are very intimidating to see charging at you. Most troops are already running when they are killed.
