Tier Four (level 10)
Horse bowmen- (60 gold for 30 troops)
Very fast sure footed horsemen who use small composite bows to powerfully fire arrows while riding. The men have light leather armor, and an iron cap. This is the only horse unit good at fighting units armed with spears. They are best used on flanking maneuvers and for rear guard.
Sword saints- (50 gold for 1 troop, Max ammount in a unit is 10)
These men are extremely well trained and wear lamellar armor. They use no shields, but their swords to defend from attacks. There are very few of these men in a unit, and they cost a lot of money to train, but are worth it. They use the very fast Shundao, which can cleave armor in two. These units are best used as personal bodyguards, and for guarding bridges. Do not let them get into range of arrows though, since they will be decimated.
Chariots- (60 gold for 20 troops)
From the older style of warfare, they are quick moving platforms, which can carry heavy loads. They are extremely strong, but if caught in a melee, they will lose to foot units. They are best used to guard encampments and the rear of your army. The men carry heavy Guan Daos, and bows.
Elephants- (70 gold for 30 troops)
The tank of the ancient world, the elephant is a massive unit that will instill fear into all opponents not used to fighting it. They are used as large fighting platforms, and the archers on top have a wide area to fire at. They move rather slow, but are great at attacking walls. Fire attacks will make these babies panic, so the elephant’s driver (mahout) carries a spike with which to hammer into the brain of the animal to stop it from attacking allied units.
